A cotton poplin shirt in oat white, folded and photographed from directly overhead on a slate grey backdrop.
The same shirt held against a lightbox: the double-layer front placket blocks the light while the body panels stay opaque.

01 — What this is

A wardrobe for the five days you get dressed for other people.

Most clothing shops sell you a piece. The piece then has to survive the rest of your wardrobe. We took the other approach and narrowed the whole range to six colours that already work together, so the decision at 7 a.m. is which pieces, not whether they go.

02 — The colour system

Six cards. Every piece belongs to exactly one.

How the cards combine

Any two pieces on the same card combine. Across cards, only the combinations we have checked are listed as combining, and the count on each product page is the actual number of pieces in the range — not an estimate. Screens show these colours differently to cloth.

03 — A place to start

Eight pieces that between them cover a week.

04 — Drape, measured

Weight is the part a photograph hides.

A 110 g/m² lyocell and a 280 g/m² suiting look almost identical laid flat. They behave nothing alike once they hang. That is why every piece here carries its weight in grams per square metre, the direction the cloth stretches, and how far it comes back after a working day.

Fabric and care in full

05 — Five-Day Builder

Three questions, one week of outfits.

Answer three questions and the Builder lays out five days across three layers, using only pieces that actually combine. Swap any cell, add the whole table to your bag, or take a screenshot and buy none of it. Your answers stay in your browser and are never sent to us.

06 — Published on every piece

Six things you should not have to email us about.

01Fibre content
Every fibre listed by generic name and percentage, in descending order, as the Textile Fiber Products Identification Act requires.
02Care instructions
Wash, bleach, dry and iron, each with a temperature or a limit. No piece ships with a care block we have not tested.
03Country of origin
Stated per piece. We do not make a country-of-origin claim for any garment we have not verified individually.
04Opacity
Opaque, semi-sheer or sheer, with a backlit reference photograph. This is the question pale office clothing usually leaves you to discover at your desk.
05Weight and stretch
Grams per square metre, the direction the cloth gives, and how far it returns after a working day.
06Measured sizes
Seven flat measurements in centimetres and inches, the method used for each, a ±1 cm tolerance and the height of the reference body.
